Mr. Alexander is the founder and managing director of Z-Ben Advisors, whose scope of business is to work with various foreign financial institutions interested in China’s investment management industry.Peter Alexander has actively participated in China’s investment management industry and, prior to establishing Z-Ben Advisors, worked on two different joint venture initiatives. His broad experience of China’s capital markets now spans nearly 20 years in Shanghai.
Jim is chief executive officer of Principal Global Investors. He also serves as president of global asset management for the Principal Financial Group. In this capacity, Jim oversees investment activities across asset classes and market regions, with primary responsibility for the strategic development of Principal’s asset management business globally.
Under Martin’s leadership, Aberdeen has become one of the world’s leading independent asset managers through a combination of organic growth and acquisition. Andrew Parry joined Hermes Sourcecap in December 2006 and as Chief Executive Officer has specific responsibility for business development, risk management, and portfolio construction for the company. Prior to joining Hermes Sourcecap, Andrew established Pembroke Capital Management in January 2003 and successfully launched the Magenta Fund, a global equity non-directional fund in March of that year, which reached $240m peak assets under management.
Tim Haywood is an Investment Director Business-Unit Head for fixed income, responsible for the absolute return bond family of funds and various long only fixed income mandates. Mr Haywood joined GAM following its acquisition of the fixed income and foreign exchange specialist, Augustus, in May 2009. He joined Augustus (then Julius Baer Investments Limited) in 1998 from Orient Overseas International Limited in Hong Kong, where he was CIO.
Eddy, the General Manager of Fundsupermart.com (Hong Kong), oversees the platform business in Hong Kong and supervises the local research team. He is currently a member of the Product Onboard Committee that reviews investment products available on the Fundsupermart.com platform.
Vincent Chui is a Managing Director and Head of Asia Institutional Equity Distribution and Private Wealth Management of Morgan Stanley. He sits on the Firm’s Equity Operating Committee and Asia Executive Committee. For his institutional role, he manages global distribution of Asia institutional equity products, including cash, derivatives, prime brokerage and capital markets products. For his wealth management role, he manages the Firm’s Asia private banking business which focuses on active wealth owners domiciled in the region.
Prior to Taiwan, Ashwin was heading Strategy, Business Development and Corporate Planning for ING’s Asia/Pacific life insurance and asset management business based out of Amsterdam and Hong Kong, reporting to the Executive Board of ING Group. In this capacity, Ashwin played a major role in shaping ING’s footprint across the region having led several M&A transactions, negotiated various joint ventures arrangements, initiated many start-up initiatives and overseen several key divestments
Based in Hong Kong, Roger oversees all MI Product Sales, Tailored Portfolio Group (TPG) Origination and Sales and regional MI product administration. He is also responsible for coordinating the regional activities associated with traditional funds research, alternatives research, operational due diligence and TPG portfolio management through a matrix reporting line. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Hedge Fund business for UBP in London.
Eleanor had an extensive background in various functional areas within the mutual fund industry in Asia, including overall business development, marketing, sales, client servicing, and general management. Before joining BEA Union in mid 2011 as its CEO, she was CEO of the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong, leading the Institute’s efforts in promoting the professional standards of financial planners in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was CEO of Allianz Global Investors Hong Kong Limited, where she was responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies and managing multinational distributors
